I've been tweaking a bit on my config and this config gets me 30 till 50 percent more FPS.
You can adjust it even further for your own connection/hardware.

Your config file is located here:
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\(yoursteamaccountname)\day of defeat source\dod\cfg
Open the config file with Notepad and just copy/paste the following bit into you config file and save it.
Dont worry about lost data cause everytime u start up DOD:S the old config file will return in this folder. So everytime you start up DOD:S you have to replace the old config file with the new one.
It's best to keep the new version of your config in a seperate folder under the cfg folder so you can easily copy/paste the new config everytime you need it.
